VMDO were honoured to have played a part in the successful execution of the first ever More Than A One Night Stand. Taking place in Warrnambool, MTAONS occurred in tandem with Triple J’s One Night Stand event, complementing the G Flip-headlined show with three days of industry consultation, networking and panels in the lead up.

VMDO presented locals with the opportunity to have one-on-ones with a number of music orgs including (deep breath)… AAM, AIR, ALMBC, APRA AMCOS, Crew Care, JJJ Unearthed, Kennell & Co, Live Music Office, Music Australia, Music Victoria, MPEG, Multicultural Arts Victoria, Regional Arts Victoria, Songlines, Sounds Australia and The Push.

LMO and The Push in particular are involved in ensuring assistance continues to be offered to musicians and businesses in Warrnambool after the excitement of the weekend. Music Australia aim to make MTAONS an annual event, coming to regional Australian town and not only providing 72 hours of activity, but laying the groundwork for continued growth and opportunities for the local music scene.
