Virtual Networking Breakfast to focus on YouTube

Published 8 April, 2020

The next edition of VMDO Networking Breakfasts, now fully virtual through zoom.us, will be dedicated to YouTube and how it can be better utilised by the music industry during the current COVID-19 crises.

On Tuesday 14th April, Jess McGuire (music writer & broadcaster) will be speaking in conversation with Ant McCormack (co-founder, Changer Studios) about the significance of video streaming for music discovery, key ways to take advantage of YouTube as a creator and maximising your chances for success.

The importance of YouTube to consumers was highlighted in the VMDO Music Consumer Insights study last year, and now more than ever, the relevance of building digital audiences cannot be understated.

Jess and Ant will discuss relevant case studies in the music industry and the rise of YouTube consumption, particularly in the current climate. Please ensure you register in order to secure your spot.

These events aim to bring together the emerging through to the established of the Victorian music business community to share ideas, catch up and collaborate. These networking breakfasts will host a variety of special guests from around the state, country and international music community, and will become an opportunity for regular industry connection during the COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.

Breakfast guests will present on industry trends, analysis, business learnings and opportunities. Settle in with a cup of coffee or tea and connect with your music community.

We'd like to encourage you to join us at 9.00am sharp. To begin with, the VMDO team will be taking participants through the new format for VMDO Virtual Networking Breakfasts, which will be as close to the in-person format as possible. You'll have the chance to interact and ask the speakers questions, as well as network with your peers in Zoom breakout rooms before and after the presentation.
