Experts In Residence: Legal with Andrew Fuller

Published 27 March, 2019

Victorian music businesses accessing one-on-one expert advice

The Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) are collaborating with a team of business professionals to deliver the newly created Experts In Residence program.

Bringing expert advice from business streams including: legal, HR, finance, artist management and digital marketing, Experts in Residence gives small Victorian music businesses the chance to access professional services.

Each round will focus on a specific business area and accept 12 participants.

The format of each round will either be one-on-one meetings (1 hour with the expert) or an in-depth masterclass. Applications are on a round by round basis, acceptance into one round does not guarantee you a place in the next round. However, you are welcome to apply for as many rounds as you like, if the expert knowledge is applicable to your business.

The first expert in residence will be commercial lawyer Andrew Fuller of Clearview Legal Counsel which has a large music focus. He has broad expertise in commercial, entertainment, fashion and media law. He advises start-ups and businesses looking to create, protect and commercialise their rights. Andrew has previously held senior positions at Shock Entertainment and Roadshow Films and is regularly invited to speak on arts and entertainment law topics.

Please note there are limited spots available for each round and we cannot guarantee that all applications will be successful. First Nations people, people with disabilities, those who identify as culturally diverse and those who reside in regional Victoria are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications for Round 1 (with Andrew Fuller, My Entertainment Lawyer) close at 5.00pm AEDT on Wednesday 3rd April 2019. The one-on-one 1 hour sessions with Andrew will run on the following dates:

  • Monday 8th April, 10am - 4pm

  • Thursday 18th April, 10am - 4pm
