Our next VMDO Networking Breakfast is just around the corner, where we host a monthly get-together for Victorian music industry professionals.
On Thursday 15th August, we will be joined by Jo Syme (Hotel Motel) and Mo Komba (Alt Music), who will be chatting with Maria Amato from Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) about their recent experiences at Midem in Cannes, France. Every June, Midem gathers and presents content from 90+ countries around the world enabling people to connect, collaborate and create.
This years Creative Victoria's Music Passport Program supported two emerging labels to spend the week at Midem, where they achieved some incredible outcomes. Along with getting them there, the program ensured that the labels received assistance from mentors and facilitated networking events throughout the conference.
VMDO General Manager, Bonnie Dalton was also invited to speak about music driving economic development with representatives from IFPI, IMPALA, City of Cannes and Ottawa Music Industry Coalition.
VMDO Networking Breakfasts take place each month at the White Sky Hub. These events aim to bring together the emerging through to the established of the Victorian music business community to share ideas, catch up and collaborate.
Networking breakfasts will host a variety of special guests from around the state, country and international music community. Breakfast guests will present on industry trends, analysis, business learnings and opportunities.
Come for coffee, breakfast and idea sharing.
