Digital Marketing Best Practice Program
The Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) has partnered with Music Ally to deliver a 3-month online Digital Marketing Best Practice program.
In 2021, having a smart digital marketing strategy for your music business is more important than ever. Amongst many other things, this involves building a consistent brand identity, creating engaging content to connect with your audience and ultimately driving measurable results.
PROGRAM
The Digital Marketing Best Practice program will run for 3 months between October - December 2021, and consist of several core learning modules and monthly live Q&A sessions.
The core of the training will be built around access to modules via an online learning hub (info below), which participants can absorb in their own time and at their pace. Each of the modules includes a 30-45 minute video, along with links for further reading. Each module also includes the option to do a 10 question test, requiring a study time of roughly 1 - 1.5 hours.

- TikTok Best Practice*
- Short Form Video*
- Live webinar Q&A session about short form video (5.30pm 15th Dec)
*Please note, starred modules are obligatory for participants to complete before attending each month’s live Q&A session.
This opportunity is best suited to individuals, artists or sole traders working in the Victorian music industry who are either new to digital marketing and want to build up a strong foundation, or already work in marketing and would like to brush up on their skills with up-to-date best practice tips & tricks.

Successful applicants will be contacted by Friday 8th October.
Successful applicants will be required to:
Commit to engaging with all 3 modules in their own time, at their own pace each month.
Attend each of the three live Q&A sessions (5.30pm Wed 27th Oct, Wed 24th Nov and Wed 15th Dec)
Complete the course in full before the end of 2021.
Complete a short survey at the completion of the program, reflecting on outcomes achieved.
Places will be funded by VMDO.
