Just announced: Experts in Residence – Touring in China with Ai Jing (A.J)

The Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) is delighted to announce the return of Ai Jing (A.J), a highly esteemed figure in the music industry in China.

A former speaker at VMDO's China Music Now during his visit in 2018, A.J is set to share invaluable insights with Victorian music industry professionals who aspire to explore opportunities in the Chinese market.

Hailing originally from Beijing and having spent a transformative decade in Scandinavia, A.J. joined the distinguished Taihe Music Group in 2016, where he assumed a pivotal role in international bookings.

With a remarkable track record as a promoter, A.J. boasts a string of successful tours in China for internationally renowned artists. Notable names in his portfolio include Snow Patrol, Angus & Julia Stone, Wolf Alice, Carl Barat, Amadou & Mariam, among others.

Beyond his prowess as a promoter, A.J. also champions several Chinese bands on the global stage, elevating acts like Carsick Cars, KyoYoko, and Default to international prominence. His influence extends further into the festival circuit, where he actively contributes to curating lineups for various music festivals in China.
