Announcing two new members to the VMDO team

Published 2 February, 2023

We are well into the new year, and with a new year comes staff changes.

In January, we bid farewell to VMDO Director Jas Moore. He contributed heavily to the successful delivery of various programs across the organisation and the future of VMDO as a whole. We wish him all the best in his future ventures and hope to see his friendly face around the office!

Aijia (AJ) Li, previously Music Business Manager at VMDO, has stepped into the role of VMDO Manager to lead the success of the organisation moving forward.

We are also welcoming two new staff members to the team this year.

Recently settling into the Engagement Coordinator position across both VMDO and Music Victoria, Holly Pereira is committed to the growth of the Victorian music industry. From slinging vinyl at Polyester Records, hosting shows at 3RRR and PBS, and booking iconic venues The Corner Hotel and Northcote Social Club, there’s not much she hasn’t done over the last decade. You’ll see her in the Music Market Co-Work space on Mondays and over in the Music Victoria office, driving membership and community engagement during the rest of the week!

We are also excited to welcome Neil Robertson to the team at VMDO, stepping into the role of Program Manager. Neil has worked in the music industry for over 25 years with a number of roles including having his own management company in the UK, overseeing Australian release campaigns for US and European groups at indies and majors, running a merchandise company and founding an independent record label. You’ll see Neil rolling out the delivery of major projects at VMDO, so keep an eye out!

We are so excited to work towards the progression and growth of the Victorian music industry in 2023.
