VMDO Links - Music Export in 2022

Published 14 August, 2022

International touring has well and truly restarted after COVID-19 forced everyone to pause. But the world looks very different to what it did pre-pandemic. So how should you approach music export in 2022?

For 13 years, Sounds Australia has been supporting Australian artists and music businesses to bolster their international activity, creating showcasing and networking events at festivals globally and putting our artists in front of the world’s top-tier music industry, as well as working behind-the-scenes back home to advocate for the interests of Australian music export.

The VMDO are partnering with Sounds Australia to present you with a week-long program, ‘Music Export in 2022’, which consists of an in-person VMDO Links networking event, followed by one-on-one meeting opportunities with a Sounds Australia export expert.

At the VMDO Links - Music Export in 2022 event, you’ll connect with Sounds Australia’s Esti Zilber, Millie Millgate and Dom Alessio in person and hear about what the international export landscape looks like right now. The popularity of Australian music continues to grow globally, but with the rising cost of living, supply chain shortages and backlogs at embassies and consulates around the world, find out how can you be best prepared for any overseas activity you might be planning. If you’re looking to play internationally for the first time, or you’re restarting your export activity, this is the session for you.

The session will be followed by a music industry mixer. Drinks & catering will be provided.

This is a free event, and RSVP is required to attend.
