VMDO First Peoples Recording and Developing Music Program Announced

Recording and Producing Music - Development Program

VMDO First Peoples in collaboration with Songlines Aboriginal Music and Yamaha Music present the Recording and Producing Music Development Program .

Delivered by First Peoples music business ‘Sound of the Future’, this 6 week development program is for First Nations musicians based in Victoria who want to learn how to record and produce music on a computer using programs such as Ableton and Cubase.

The program will be facilitated by Sound of the Future owner and Ableton Certified Instructor Davey Norris aka Dizz1.

Starting in early June, musicians will participate in weekly online sessions over 6 weeks where they will learn the basics including setting up the software, to music production and mixing music. By the end of the program, participants will be able to create and share your their own music.

This program has been developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had on the arts and wider economy.
