SXSW Panel and Networking event announced

Victorian Music Development OfficeSounds Australia and Music Victoria are excited to announce a panel discussion and evening of networking, centered around the 2020 South By South West Festival (SXSW).

SXSW is the premier global music conference for music, film and interactive media. The Festival takes place annually in Austin, Texas with over 2,000+ music artists showcasing.

On the night, a music industry panel will discuss their SXSW experiences and how attendees can make the most of their trip. The discussion will be moderated by Millie Millgate from Sounds Australia. 

Panellists include: 

  • Neil Morris (VMDO First Peoples)

  • Jo Syme (Pieater/Hotel Motel Records)

  • Simone Ubaldi (Amyl and the Sniffers)

  • Melanie Webb (Lyrical Road)

  • Esti Zilber (Sounds Australia)

SXSW 2020 delegates and artists are invited to attend, along with past attendees and general industry considering a SXSW trip in future. This is a great opportunity to network with peers, ask questions and share advice.

Drinks and nibbles will be available by donation, supporting Bushfire Relief charities.

The Commons Collingwood is a coworking and creative space for entrepreneurs and businesses. This venue is accessible (ground floor, no steps, accessible toilet).
