We're Hiring - VMDO Director

The Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO) is looking for a new leader. We are looking for a passionate, connected and visionary music business professional for the role of VMDO Director.

This unique role will be challenged with recognizing trends, identifying market gaps and opportunities, and ultimately finding solutions to music business problems. Creating and delivering programs that grow the prosperity of the Victorian music industry – now and into the future.

It’s an outstanding and rare opening for an exceptional self-starter with an in-depth knowledge of the contemporary music industry.

You’re probably an early adopter who welcomes the next disruption. You’re someone with an interest in tech, as well as established and developing markets, cross sector and globally.

You will need a proven track record of complex problem solving, project conceptualization, delivery and evaluation.


KEY INFORMATION

Primary location: Collingwood Yards, 35 Johnston St Collingwood VIC 3066

Reporting to: Music Victoria CEO

Working with: Music Victoria, VMDO and Music Market staff, and the VMDO Steering Committee

Position type: Very flexible. Up to 1.0 FTE but can be part-time. We can offer a fixed-term contract until 31 December 2022.

Salary details: $90,000 - $100,000 per annum pro-rata + superannuation (depending on experience).
