Creative Victoria’s Music Passport Program recently supported two emerging labels to spend the week at Midem, and we were there to see the incredible outcomes they both achieved.

As well as getting them there, the program ensured that the labels received assistance from mentors and additional, facilitated networking events throughout the conference. The program was designed and managed by AIR and recipients were Jo Syme (Hotel Motel) and Mo Komba (Alt Music). Rhianon Damas (Two Shoes Records) also attended as part of her Fast Track Fellowship immersion experience, also funded through Creative Victoria’s Music Passport Program, and delivered via partnership between VMDO and AIR.

As well being a part of the Music Passport delegation, Bonnie was also able to attend some excellent conference sessions and meet with delegates from around the world – all of which is informing the creation of new resources and planning of future programs for the VMDO. The VMDO was formally represented at Midem too, as Bonnie was invited to speak about music driving economic development with representatives from IFPIIMPALACity of Cannes and Ottowa Music Industry Coalition – that presentation, along with many others are available to view now on YouTube. Thank you Creative VictoriaAIRMidem and all of the incredible delegates from Victoria.
