White Sky: Music Incubator Program

Published 28 November, 2018

White Sky Music, Australia’s leading music accounting services business, is excited to announce a new initiative for emerging Victorian-based music professionals in conjunction with the VMDO (Victorian Music Development Office) and the White Sky Hub.

Situated above White Sky’s head office in the beating heart of Collingwood, the White Sky Hub was launched in 2011 as a co-working space for music industry businesses to create opportunities to share resources, collaborate, learn from one another, and ultimately build stronger music businesses faster.

This shared space for music folk has recently been expanded and re-designed to include a listening room, two breakout areas and a stage for live music performances and presentation-style events, including monthly networking breakfasts facilitated by the VMDO. These events will be designed to educate the tenants in the Hub, as well as being open to other music businesses, artists and entrepreneurs to network and foster new ideas.

In this light-filled converted warehouse, some of the top artist managers, tour promoters, bookers, publicists, distributers, festivals and record labels now call the space home, with a tenancy list that reads as a ‘who’s who’ of the Australian music scene.

This initiative will offer a subsidised desk in the White Sky Hub for 6 months for up to 10 music professionals per year.

Applications now open to all Victorian-based music professionals (artist managers and other music businesses) in the early stages of their growth. No age restrictions.

To apply, simply send you name, business name, brief list of highlights/achievements related to your business, contact details and a short description of why you like to be considered for a subsidised desk in the White Sky Hub to info@vmdo.com.au
