On Saturday 19th October 2019, we celebrated one whole calendar year of the Victorian Music Development Office (VMDO).

The inaugural VMDO program was publicly launched on Friday 19th October 2018 and the occasion was celebrated with an industry event at ACMI Lounge, Federation Square. Wurundjeri Elder Ron Jones delivered a Welcome to Country ceremony and the Minister for Creative Industries, Martin Foley MP marked the occasion with a speech to introduce the office and its staff members. The event showcased upcoming Victorian talent, with live performances from Bumpy, Riverboy, The Merindas and Kee’ahn.

1 year on and we’re proud to be celebrating our industry’s success stories and the projects we’ve launched to support businesses in reaching their full potential. Extending a special thanks to Creative Victoria and Music Victoria.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in the VMDO’s story so far. We’re pleased to publish our annual report, which reflects the work of the VMDO through to June 30 2019.
